Daniel A. Shrock

Daniel A. Shrock, 80, of Jamestown, Greene Twp., passed away Friday evening, November 1, 2024, at his residence.

He was born in Atlantic, PA on September 1, 1944, a son of the late Alvin and Susie Ann (Miller) Shrock.  On April 25, 1968, he married the former, Martha J. Byler, who survives.  Mr. Shrock had been a lifelong farmer and also had operated a sawmill and harness shop.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by his children, Sally, Susan, wife of Andrew Gingerich; Jacob, Martha, wife of Sam Gingerich; Ada, wife of Jim Fisher; Daniel and his wife, Maryann (Mast); John and his wife Elizabeth (Weaver); Joseph; Reuben and his wife Maria (Willems); Mary and Harvey; daughter in law, Jamie (Bitterman) wife of Alvin; his siblings, Joseph, Monroe, Lester, Barbara Ann, Robert, John and Susan Leah; and 34 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Alvin, two brothers, Alvin, Jr. and Raymond, and a sister, Mary Ann.

The funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the Samuel Weaver residence, 216 State Line Road, Jamestown.  He will be laid to rest at the State Line Amish Cemetery, Jamestown. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the Weaver residence from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
