Daniel R. Harris, Sr.

Daniel R. Harris, Sr., Cochranton (Greenwood Twp.) passed away Sunday afternoon, September 14, 2025, at the Titusville Area Hospital.  He was 75.

He was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on March 31, 1950, a son of the late William Frederick and Madolyn (Izora)  Harris.  On September 30, 1972, he married the former Alice Faye Williams, who preceded him in death on December 2, 1999.  Dan had been employed by the former Rusco and later by the Meadville Housing Authority, with whom he was still employed.

He is survived by his children, Dave (Rose) Dempsey, Oil City, and their children Matthew (Autumn) Dempsey, Kari (John) Kim, and Benjamin Dempsey, Vance (Theresa) Dempsey, Hampton Road, VA, and their children Amber (Adam) Erb, Tommy (Jamie) Dempsey and Monica (Scott) Taylor, and  Daniel Raymond (Rita) Harris, Jr., Lima Ohio and their children, Alexis Harris, Jaiden Michael Harris and a soon to be born grandson, Peter Daniel Harris; three sisters, Lillian Purkoski, Meadville, Honey Jean Jones and Alice Margaret Harvey, both of Derry, PA; great grandchildren, Bentley, Ava, Caleb,  Shane and Mikayla, Asia, Logon, Winton, Perceus, Madelyn, Roman, Roland and Roylaty and a special grand dog, Bridget.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice Faye, four siblings, William Harris, Charles Harris, Alfred Harris, and Nioma Sigafose, and a great grandson, Mason Kim.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.

Dan will be laid to rest at the Williams Cemetery, Greenwood Twp.
