Charles "Tom" Thomas Osborne

Charles Thomas “Tom” Osborne born on September 1, 1937 in Warren, Ohio , the only child of Tom and Arlene Osborne, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024, with family at his side.

Tom proudly served in the US Army from 1961-1963 and then joined the Army National Guard of Ohio.

He married Beverly Elaine Jett on June 1, 1963, and later moved to Pennsylvania where he built their family home and raised their 4 children.

Tom was one of the last foreman to work at the National Castings in Farrell, PA. In the 1980s he served as an EMT and volunteer firefighter for the Sheakleyville Fire Department.

He owned and operated Osborne Industrial, sold pressure washers and restaurant equipment, obtained his real estate license, auctioneer license and is well known for owning both the Sandy Lake Dinor and the Brass Lantern Restaurant with his beloved wife, Beverly.

Tom was a member of the Youngstown Masonic Lodge, The Blue Lodge, The Transfer Kiwanis and served as a past president of the Crawford County Shrine and was an active member in both the Zem Zem Motor Patrol and the Vagabonds.

In his retirement, Tom could be found swapping stories at Countyline Café, or one of the many local restaurants with friends.

Tom is survived by his children, Thomas D. Osborne, and his girlfriend, Carrie Mitchell of Hadley, Kenneth A. Osborne and his wife Elizabeth, of Hadley and Barbara E. Osborne, of Fredonia, Grandchildren, Tyler Osborne and his wife Whitney, Shane Osborne, Justin Osborne and Levi Osborne, Great Grandchildren, Charlee, Jacob and Weston Osborne, and his companion, Ardella Chess.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, and daughter, Kimberly Sue Osborne.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Pastor Micheal Holley of the Clarks Mills Community Church officiating.  Tom will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Hadley Cemetery.  Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM and 5:00-7:00 PM.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at www.snyderfh.com
