Chad Bromley Obituary

Chad William Bromley, 42, of Greenville, PA, passed away tragically on April 11, 2026, doing what he loved—riding his side by side and living life on his own terms.

Born April 23, 1983, in Greenville, PA, to Bruce and Janice Bromley, Chad carried with him a deep appreciation for the people and community that shaped him. He valued connection, loyalty, and looking out for others—principles that defined the way he lived his life and the way he showed up for those around him.

A 2001 graduate of Greenville High School, Chad’s life would go on to reflect far more than any title or timeline could capture. He was a man built on grit, loyalty, and an unshakable sense of duty.

Chad proudly served his country as a decorated member of the United States Marine Corps, completing multiple tours in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He later continued his service in the Army Reserve for an additional six years. To Chad, service wasn’t something you turned on and off—it was who he was.

After returning home, he remained committed to protecting and serving others, working for many years as a Correctional Officer at the Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution. He later worked as a heavy equipment operator, a role that suited him well—hands-on, tough, and built for a man who wasn’t afraid of hard work.

Chad also gave back in his own way, serving as a Greenville Town Councilor. He cared deeply about people—about doing right by them, standing his ground when it mattered, and making a difference where he could.

He was, by all accounts, a hard shell to crack. But those lucky enough to truly know him understood the depth behind that exterior. Once you were in his circle, Chad was the kind of man who would move mountains for you—no questions asked. Loyal to the core, steady in chaos, and always ready with a joke when you needed it most.

He had a lifelong passion for firearms and anything that “went bang,” and he found joy in the simple things—riding his side by side to events, being out among people, and connecting in his own authentic way.

Above all, he was a father, a son, a brother, and a man who loved deeply, even if he didn’t always say it out loud.

He is survived by his children, Ryan Bromley of Warren, OH; Raelyn Bromley of Greenville, PA; and Natalie Bromley of Greenville, PA, who were the pride of his life.

He is also survived by his parents, Bruce and Janice Bromley of Sheakleyville, PA; his siblings, Trevor (Jules) Bromley of Greenville, PA; Cody Packard Bromley (Will Daly) of Hartstown, PA; and Adam Bromley of Greenville, PA; his beloved partner, Kelly Gill; and his many beloved nieces and nephews: Ty, Carly, Destiny, Logan, Ethan, Parker, Chloe, Kendra, Austin, Mayson, Colten, McKenzie, Sydni, Averi, and great-niece Vera.

Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Mary Catherine Bromley and Willie and Esther Gearhart, as well as his uncles, Danny Gearhart and Kenny Bromley.

The funeral service celebrating Chad’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville, with Dan Jaussen, pastor of Crossroad Christian Fellowship, officiating. Chad will be laid to rest with Military honors accorded by the Reynolds VFW Post # 7599 Honor Guard at the Rocky Glen Cemetery, Adamsville. The visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the funeral home from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
