Carolyn Louise Williams Eldridge, age 83, of Greenville, PA passed away on November 22, 2023, following an extended illness.
She was born September 10, 1940, to Thelston (Jim) and Dorothea Mae Powell Williams. She graduated from Cochranton High School in 1958. Carolyn was employed by Cochranton Co-Op Association in 1958 and was there for many years before retiring from her job as Manager in 1999. She was a member of North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church. She hosted a Home Bible Study group and was a leader of the “Christian Ladies Fellowship” group and a member of Gold Star Wives of America. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, traveling, gardening, teaching Sunday School, and serving as Sunday School Superintendent and Auditor for her church.
She was married to Charles L. Eldridge who preceded her in death. She is survived by sisters Nancy Dalton (Tom) and Cheryl Sperry of Cochranton, PA. In addition to her sisters, she is survived by close nieces Lisa Bradley-Schroeck, Wendy McLaren, and Anita Stefanelli, along with many other dear nieces and nephews and her treasured friend Florence Youngblood. Besides her spouse, she was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Shirley Moore and Lois Bradley-Shull, and brothers-in-law John Moore and Alvin Bradley.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 28 from 1-2 p.m. at North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church, 190 Osborn Rd. Greenville, PA. A funeral service conducted by Reverend Michael D. Marshall will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be private at Williams Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
