Carl E. Long, Greenville, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 15, 2022, at the St. Paul’s Senior Living Community, West Salem Twp. He was 79.
Carl was born in Greenville on March 11, 1943, a son of the late Frederick G. and Susie (Gerber) Long. He was a graduate of the Commodore Perry High School and had served with the Pennsylvania National Guard and the US Army Reserves. On August 6, 1966, he married the former Bonnie L. Redfoot, who survives. Mr. Long had been a self-employed cabinet maker for 25 years and had previously been employed by the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad. He was a member of the Greenville Alliance Church.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie, Greenville; a daughter, Traci (Charles) Brown, Erie and two grandchildren, Simon Richard Brown, and Amanda Nicole Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Susanne Higgins.
A Celebration of the life of Carl will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 11:30 am at the Greenville Alliance Church, 63 Conneaut Lake Road, Greenville with Pastor Byron Dickey officiating. The family has respectfully request that no flowers be sent due to allergies and suggest that those wishing may make memorial tributes to the Greenville Alliance Church Building Fund, 63 Conneaut Lake Road, Greenville, PA 16125.
