Betty A. Kimmel, Greenville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 15, 2025, at the UPMC, Horizon Greenville. She was 81.
She was born in Greenville on September 28, 1943, to Clair and Annabelle (Horner) Leventry. Betty graduated from Conemaugh Township High School in 1961. On February 27, 1969, she married Harry A. Kimmel, and they shared 56 years together.
Betty has been employed as a phlebotomist and lab tech for many years in Greenville and also in Harrisburg and Bethel, PA. She enjoyed being able to attend the Greenville Senior Center, where she loved to play bingo.
She is survived by her husband Harry; her sons, Mark Kimmel, his wife, Trayce, of Jackson Center, PA ; Matthew Kimmel, his wife Fabiola, of Robesonia PA; Jeffrey Kimmel, his wife Tonya of Newmanstown, PA; Jerry Allen his wife Sheree; a brother, Norman Leventry and his wife, Shirley, of Biloxi, Mississippi and grandchildren, Holly Allen, Alexis Riffle, Danielle Kimmel, Calvin Kerr, Charlee Kimmel, Benjamin Kimmel, Enzo Silva, Meghan Kimmel a great grandchild Gwendolyn Riffle, and a special family friend DJ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Bonnie Splichal, and three brothers, Wayne Leventry, Howard Leventry, and Warren Leventry.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 2:00-4:00PM at Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at www.snyderfh.com.
