Arthur Trezona Obituary

Arthur E. Trezona, Grove City passed away Sunday afternoon, February 2, 2025, in the comfort of his home with his family by his side.  He was 87.

He was born in Masury, OH on June 9, 1937, a son to the late Guy D. and Olive (Blystone) Trezona.  He was a 1955 graduate of Fredonia – Delaware High School where he was a member of the 1955 Pennsylvania Class C State Champions in basketball. He was a graduate of Grove City College. He went on to serve honorably with the US Army, with the 101st Airborne Division, Screaming Eagles at Ft Campbell, KY.   He started his employment working at Blackson Auction and Bowling Alley, Mercer, then went onto work at Cooper Bessemer, Grove City and later for SATEC, now known as INSTRON from where he retired.  Following his retirement, he worked at Grove City College Bowling Alley for 13 years.  He was a member of the East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City where he had been an Elder and the head usher for over 40 years.  Mr. Trezona was active in the Grove City Little League, serving not only as the president but also as a coach and umpire.  He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing baseball and hockey.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Carol L. Beatty whom he married on January 29, 1960. His children, Karen (Don ) Horgan, Pittsburgh, Cindy (Keith) Callahan, Plain Grove, Mark (Kim) Trezona, Cary, NC, Sherry Trezona and her companion, Corry Morneweck, Grove City, Clark Trezona, Valley Springs, CA, Brian (Lisa) Trezona, Edinboro and Brad (Amy) Trezona, Grove City; a brother, Donald Trezona, Fredonia, 19 grandchildren, Katie Ruth (Eric) Fann, Ryan (Danika) Horgan, Jason Magee, Justin (Jodi) Magee, Amy (Brad) Theodore, Chris (Jecca) Callahan, Caroline Trezona, Sarah Trezona, Sam Trezona, Kara (Jacob) Thompson, Kevin Campbell, Keith Campbell, Joe Trezona, Jennica Trezona, Kendra Trezona, Trey Trezona, Luciano Trezona, Marcello Trezona and Vicenzo Trezona and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lois Blackson and Joan Conover.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 169 Second Street, Fredonia with Rev. Bill Hoffman, pastor of the East Main Presbyterian Church officiating.  He will be laid to rest at the Millbank Cemetery.  A visitation of family and friends will be on Thursday (02/06) at the funeral home from 1:00 – 3:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
