Arnold Longstreth Obituary

Arnold L. “Bud” Longstreth, 67, of Utica, PA, passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2022.

Bud was born November 7th, 1954 in Oil City, PA, to the late Arnold L. and Marian Jane (English) Longstreth. Bud attended Cranberry High School and Venango County Vocational School where he was a graduate of the Class of 1972. He married his wife Cathy McClain Longstreth on July 1, 1982.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served his country for 12 years.  After the military, he had a vast career in HVAC including working for several companies around Western Pennsylvania and Maryland. He also taught at Triangle Tech.  He retired from Edinboro University.

Bud loved helping friends and family. He was never too busy to help someone out with furnace or air conditioning problems. He was an avid golfer and played in several golf leagues. He loved golfing at Venango Valley where he was a Ranger. He also enjoyed drag racing where he participated at Capital Speedway. After retirement, he enjoyed a job at Saegertown Hardware. Bud was always a joker and used his quick wit on everyone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jeremy Longstreth and two sisters Nancy Last and Ruth Strain.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy McClain Longstreth. Two brothers Robert Longstreth of Fort Pierce, FL, John Longstreth and his wife Yvonne of Meadville, PA. Brother in-laws Tom L McClain of Girard, OH, and Paul McClain of Shippenville, PA. and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews of whom he loved dearly.

The family will be privately celebrating the life of Bud at a later date.
