Allan C. Rough

Allan C. Rough, Meadville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 3, 2020 at his residence. He was 62.

He was born in Oil City, Pa on March 5, 1958 a son of Frank D. and Jackie (Roberts) Rough. Allan was a driver most of his life, which he loved to do, working for a vending company, Unichoice and later Vantage Health Care and Vallonia Industries.  He had also been employed at Channellock for many years. 

He loved to get together with his best friends, Bryan Bosco, St. Cloud, Fl, Robert Hess, Sr., Meadville and Marshall and Alex Stein, Meadville, who he drove semi with and always enjoyed sharing and swapping “back in the day” stories.  Allan was a member of the Vernon Central Hose Company, Station 23 where he would often sit and enjoyed talking and sharing stories with his many friends and family members.  He is remembered for his great sense humor and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Allan leaves behind his loving wife, the former Robin L. McConnaghy, two sons whom he was very proud of, Steven Rough and his fiancée Leslie Eaglehouse of Lexington, SC. and Travis W. McConnaghy and his significant other, Tori McKenna of Erie, his pride and joy, was his granddaughter, Annabelle Allana Rough and step granddaughter, Alicen Eaglehouse.   He is also survived by his parents, Frank and Jackie Rough, Meadville; a brother, Frank (Eugene) Rough, Meadville; a sister Lisa Shoemaker and her husband Rob, Michigan and a niece, Kayla Pope, Bethlehem.

Family and friends are invited to share in the Celebration of Allan’s life which will be held Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Vernon Central Hose, McMath Ave. Meadville. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
