Kenneth W. Dunn, Sheakleyville passed away at 1:00 am on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his residence following a period of declining health. He was 84.
He was born in Grove City, Pa. on March 26, 1934 a son of the late Frank and Besse (Knauff) Dunn. On October 26, 1953 he married the former Shirley Gravatt who survives at home. Ken had been employed at the Hodge Foundry, Greenville from which he had retired. He was a former member of the Commodore Perry Lions Club, had served as an elected councilman for Sheakleyville Borough and had served as a director for the Sheakleyville Cemetery Association for many years. He had served with the U.S Army having been stationed in Germany.
In addition to his wife of 64 years, he is survived by two brothers, Larry and Ray Dunn, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Dorothy and Mary Ann along with three brothers, Frank, Robert and David Dunn.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Elaine, Crystal and Tracy for the excellent and compassionate care that they had provided to Kenny during the past several years.
The funeral and committal service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Janice Good, pastor of the Sheakleyville Presbyterian Church officiating. The interment will follow at the Sheakleyville Cemetery.
