Keith E. “Moose” Stright, Church Street, Hadley, passed away unexpectedly at 5:15 pm on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Emergency Department of UPMC Horizon Greenville following a period of declining health. He was 68
Keith was born on December 14, 1949 a son of the late James Arthur and Alice Adaline(Williams) Stright. On January 16, 1970 he married the former Patricia J. Hanna who survives. He was a 1967 graduate of the Commodore Perry High School. He was a life long truck driver having worked for various employers, he last worked for McClymond’s Supply and Transit, Portersville from which he had retired in June 2011. He was a past president of the Sheakleyville Community Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed reading, watching TV and taking care of his lawn.
In addition to his wife Pat, he is survived by his children, Valerie L. Andrews, West Farmington, Ohio and Eric J. Stright of Hadley; Two brothers, Donald Stright and his wife Shirley of Hadley and Wayne Stright and his wife Deanna of Sheakleyville; two sisters, Jayne Jacobs and her husband Roland of Cochranton and Linda Harsh and her husband Chester of Sheakleyville; a granddaughter, Amanda (Sturgin) Lysiak and her husband Alex of North Ridgeville, Ohio; a great grandson Lincoln Lysiak and a great grandchild to be born in February.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Margaret Irene Thompson.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. James Sodano, pastor of the Perry Baptist Church officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at the Sheakleyville Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00- 8:00 pm and may share memories and condolences online at www. snyderfh.com.
The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.
