Daniel R. Snyder, Youngsville formerly of Greenville passed way unexpectedly Wednesday evening, June 20, 2018 in Warren County. He was 49.
He was born in Greenville on June 15, 1969 a son of H. Daniel and Dolly (Varner) Snyder. On May 17, 2014 he married Patricia Roppa Berry who survives. Over the years he had been employed as a welder, a carpenter and had done construction work. He had been enjoying his latest project of remodeling and working on his home in Warren County. Dan was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, he enjoyed the outdoors where he could often be found hunting and fishing. He enjoyed cooking and grilling for his family and friends and could always be found making others smile and would do what ever he could to help to brighten their day. Dan was a friend to all, who was always willing to lend a hand in any way that he could. He loved his family and enjoyed the time that was spent with his grandchildren. A favorite pastime was reading, especially western novels. He was a member of the Jerusalem Christian Church, Greenville and the American Legion Post 135, Warren, PA.
Dan is survived by his wife at home, two sons, Michael Scott Springer of Greenville, Christian Berry of Greenville, three daughters, Ayla Snyder of Maui, Hawaii, Ashley Berry of Youngsville and Amanda Cornelius and her husband Scott of Greenville. His father, H. Daniel Snyder and his wife Becky of Greenville, his mother, Dolly Curtin and her husband Philip M. of Greenville. A sister, Dawn Lamberton and her husband Brian of Polk, a brother Travis Snyder of Jacksonville, NC., 2 step brothers, Philip H. Curtin and his wife Angela “Kris” of Zelienople and Lee Curtin and his wife Jenna of Greenville. 5 grandchildren, Dominic Wheaton, Caleb Cornelius, Jacob Strausser and Noah and Harper Kramrich.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer Duane and Pearl Snyder and Lavaughn “Bus” and Anita Varner.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Jerusalem Christian Church, 560 Donation Road, Greenville with John Canon, pastor of the church officiating. The interment and committal prayers will follow at the Jerusalem Church Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy. on Sunday and Monday from 4:00-7:00 pm and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 am to 11:00am. The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the family through the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses incurred.
