Catherine E. Clark a resident of St. Paul’s Home, Greenville formerly of Sandy Creek Twp., Hadley passed away early Thursday morning, February 28, 2019 at the UPMC-Horizon, Greenville Campus. She was 93.
Catherine was born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 1, 1925 a daughter of the late Lee and Mabel (Chess) Beckdol. On June 9, 1941 she married Edwin E. Clark who had preceded her in death on October 31, 2008. Kate was a homemaker and had been employed at the former Greenville Hospital for 14 years as a nurse’s aide. She was a longtime member of the Sheakleyvile United Methodist Church. She had a special love for her family both immediate and extended and cherished the times she was able to spend with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Joan Prosser, Greenville, Karen Rickert and her husband Larry of Fredonia and Cheryl Fritz and her husband Rodney of Hadley; a foster daughter Judy Kirk, Conneaut Lake; 7 grandchildren, Michael Prosser and his wife Clarissa, Kenneth Prosser, Brian Prosser, Michelle Chess, Lisa Chess, Kelli Coulter and her husband Doug, Ron Fritz and his wife Jodie; 7 step grandchildren, Todd McDonald and his wife Kelly, Troy McDonald, Tami Maloney and her husband Bob, Dawn Kimmell and her husband Dave, Deanna Chance and her husband Bo, Darcie Petrunyak and her husband Marty and Darrin Rickert and his wife Amber. 7 great grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren and many step great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, a sister Louise McQuiston and a son in law James Prosser.
The Funeral and Committal service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Teresa Robison, pastor of the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church officiating. Catherine will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Sheakleyvlle Cemetery.
