Carol A. Collins, Hadley (Sandy Creek Twp.) passed away at her residence on Thursday evening, July 18, 2019. She was 77.
Carol was born in Meadville on July 11, 1942, the daughter of the late Earl and Irene (Taylor) Riley. She had been a beautician in her younger years and then went onto work for Morco Products, Cochranton for 27 years. For 21 years she had baked pies for Aunt Bee’s restaurant, Cochranton. She was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Geneva.
Carol is survived by two daughters, Sheryl Schrag, Conneaut Lake and Belinda Nicholson, Meadville; a brother, Mike (Linda) Riley, Conneaut Lake; 4 granddaughters, Shannon (John) Boos, Florida, Coty (Anthony) Clemente, Clarks Mills, Carrie (Jason) Smith, Saegertown and Crissy McMahon, Conneaut Lake; 8 great grandchildren, Connor and Colby Smith, Abigail and Tyler Clemente, Kaylee McMahon, Regan Schrag, Corrina Boos and Damien Lariz
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved companion of 33 years, Francis Turner and a sister, Virginia Snyder.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 3:30 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 – 3:30 pm.
