Aquilla D. Yoder, Hadley (Sandy Creek Twp.) was called home to be with Jesus on Friday evening, December 6, 2019 as the result of injuries he had sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was 46.
Aquilla was born in Lewisburg on October 18, 1973 a son of Aaron and Dorothy (Yoder) Yoder. At the age of 12, Aquilla suffered a seizure, which left him compromised after having been revived. This life changing experience resulted in Aquilla possessing a great sense of determination to not only be independent, but to be also self sufficient. He was admired by those who knew him for his great work ethic and his moral compass. He was a staunch supporter of the republican party. He loved the Lord and had a personal relationship with Jesus. His vast knowledge of the bible was extensive, being able to quote many bible verses from memory. He had an interest in electronics and computers and enjoyed providing care for his mother, Dorothy.
Aquilla, had been employed by Warren Industries for 18 years, he then went onto work for Ainsworth Pet Nutrition, Meadville and was currently employed with ECS&R, Cochranton. He had attended the Living Waters Church, Meadville.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Hadley; 6 Siblings, Delores Coblentz and her husband Ray, Guys Mills, Sylvia Hostetler and her husband Elmer, Jr., Hadley, Wilmer Yoder and his wife Twila, Lewistown, Geneva McManamon and her husband Dale, Fredonia, Iddo Yoder and his wife Jo Ann, Hadley and Raymond Yoder and his wife Laura, Atlantic. 16 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Cletus Yoder.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019, at 10:00 am at the Pleasantview Conservative Mennonite Church, County Line Road, Cochranton with his brother in law, Elmer Hostetler, Jr. officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his father at the Pleasantview Mennonite Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Pleasantview Mennonite Fellowship Hall on Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
