Anita J. Sauer, Fredonia (Delaware Twp.) passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side on Tuesday evening, August 6, 2019. She was 53.
She was born in Greenville on October 3, 1965 a daughter of Frank L. and Janet G. (Breese) Black. She was a 1983 graduate of Reynolds High School. Anita was employed by Cronimet Specialty Metals, Transfer as an office administrator and also by National Logistic Services. Anita enjoyed painting, with a focus and interest in Bob Ross style paintings, often replicating his style in the many paintings that she had accomplished. Many of her paintings had been given as gifts to many special people in her life. She enjoyed reading and horseback riding. Her family was a very important part of her life and she enjoyed every moment she could share with them
Anita is survived by her two children, Kenneth Sauer, Columbus, OH and Tiffany Sauer, Mercer; her parents, Frank L. and Janet G. Black, Fredonia; her companion and best friend of 12 years, Mark Hall, Fredonia; a sister, Diana Black and her companion Pete Mathieson, Jackson Center; a brother, Dale Black, Fredonia and her former husband, Nick Sauer, Elkton, VA.
She was preceded in death by a special nephew Jonathon Fisher.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. , 169 Second Street, Fredonia with Rev. Eric M. Peters, pastor of the Fredonia Presbyterian Church officiating. The inurnment will follow at the Millbank Cemetery, Fredonia. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am and are invited to share memories and condolences online at www.snyderfh.com
