COVID-19 Update

Funeral Homes in Pennsylvania are considered as essential businesses in our community and will remain operating 24 hours a day. We are here to delicately balance public health concerns while still be able to serve our community.

Given the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to know the funeral directors at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. are committed to taking the necessary precautions to protect and limit exposure of the coronavirus to the families we serve, our employees, and our community by having alternative options available when a loved one passes away.

We are monitoring the pandemic closely by following the local, state, and national guidelines.

We want you to know your loved one can still be prepared for a visitation and funeral using proper industry practices, all within the guidelines suggested by the government agencies. You can still have a funeral or visitation with suggested guidelines while limiting personal contact.

The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) recently issued the following guidance to funeral service:

  • You can still have a funeral or visitation.
  • Bodies can be embalmed using proper industry practices.
  • Decedents can be buried or cremated, and we comply with all state and local requirements.

We are in contact with other businesses associated with the funeral profession, such as floral shops, cemeteries, clergy, newspapers, radio, etc., and they are also open and operating under strict guidelines to serve our community.

We are committed today, tomorrow, and in the future to continue to be your most dependable funeral homes as we reassure you that we’ll continue to maintain our high health standards. We must implement the guidelines that are uncomfortable and have comprehensive social distancing in order to combat this pandemic.
