Cecile R. Wheeler, a resident of the Grove at Greenville passed away Thursday evening. She was 78.
She was born on September 28, 1945, a daughter of the late Ray and Hazel (Kitch) Wheeler. Cecile attended the Commodore Perry School until age 16. She enjoyed crafts, mostly working with plastic canvas, allowing her to make any items, such as crosses and bookmarks which she enjoyed giving away to others. She also enjoyed playing word search puzzles and watching Disney movies. Cecile actively participated in many of the activities at the Grove where she had many friends. Her favorite activity was Bingo.
Cecile is survived by a brother, James Wheeler, Greenville, and a sister, Mary Richardson and her husband Donald, Hadley, and many nieces and nephews.
Cecile was preceded in death by her parents and two infant brothers, Perry and Jackie.
She will be laid to rest with her parents at the Hadley Cemetery. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Hadley Cemetery with Rev. Byron Dickey, Pastor of the Greenville Alliance Church officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
