Elenor J. (Collins) Frkonja

Elenor J. Frkonja, Delaware Road, Fredonia passed away at 6:35 am on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the St. Paul’s Home, Greenville.  She was 75.

Elenor was born in Greenville, PA. on February 25, 1942 a daughter of the late Daniel G. and Anna (Sinkovich) Collins.  On August 24, 1963 she married George L. Frkonja who preceded her in death on November 9, 2010.  She had been employed at the former Greenville Hospital having retired following the merger with UPMC following 39 years of service.  Elenor also worked along side her husband operating the family beef farm in Delaware Twp.  She was a member of the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Greenville.

Elenor is survived by a son Doug Frkonja of Fredonia; a granddaughter, Ariana Frkonja-Kuczin of Akron, OH; a brother, John J. Collins and his wife Sharon of Garnerville, NY; two sisters, Helen Dick and her husband Dale of Greenville and  Margaret Ceremuga of Poland, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Jackie Frkonja and three brothers, Thomas Collins, Daniel Collins and Robert Collins.

At the request of Elenor, there will be no visitation, Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 10:30 am at the St Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High Street, Greenville with Rev. Sean Kerins as Celebrant.  The interment will follow at the St. Michael's Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at snyderfh.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 169 Second Street, Fredonia.

The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to either the St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church or to the St. Michael’s School, 85 N. High Street, Greenville, PA. 16125
